Hi, I’m Sam Shah, and this is Nuvora Decor.

I started this site because I kept running into the same problem. I’d spend money on a room, buy things I genuinely liked, and the space would still feel wrong. Not bad exactly, just off. Like something was missing that I couldn’t name.

So I started paying attention to why. I read about color relationships and how light changes a room after dark. I learned about scale and why a sofa that looks right in a showroom can make a living room feel cramped. I tested things in my own home, moved furniture more times than I can count, and slowly the rooms started making sense.

That was about six years ago. Since then I’ve renovated and restyled every room in my home on a budget that required actual prioritizing, not just spending. No contractors, no designer on retainer. Just a lot of research and a willingness to start over when something wasn’t working.

Nuvora Decor is where I put everything I’ve figured out.

The site covers bedrooms, kitchens, living rooms, bathrooms, and outdoor spaces. Most of what I write is aimed at people who are decorating without a big budget and without a background in design, because that’s where I started. The advice here is based on real research and real testing, not trends pulled from Pinterest.
