About Us

Hi, I’m Sam — and this is Nuvora Decor.

I didn’t start this site as a designer. I started it as someone who spent way too many Saturday afternoons staring at a room that just didn’t feel right, wondering why nothing ever came together the way it looked in my head.

I’d buy a throw pillow I loved, a lamp that seemed perfect in the store, a rug that looked amazing in the photo — and somehow the room still felt off. Disconnected. Like a collection of nice things that had never been introduced to each other.

So I started digging. I read everything I could find about how rooms actually work — color relationships, scale, the way lighting changes a space after 6 PM, why some rooms feel instantly calm and others feel cluttered even when they’re clean. I tested ideas in my own home. I made mistakes. I started over. I figured things out.

And slowly, my spaces started feeling like mine.

That’s what Nuvora Decor is about.

I built this site for everyone who has stood in the middle of a room they don’t love and had no idea where to start. For renters who can’t knock down walls but still want a home that feels intentional. For people decorating on real budgets who are tired of advice that assumes you can casually spend $4,000 on a sofa.

Every article I write comes from real research, real trial and error, and a genuine obsession with making home styling feel approachable — not intimidating.

We cover every room: bedrooms, kitchens, living rooms, and outdoor spaces. Whether you’re doing a full room makeover or just trying to fix that one corner that’s been bothering you for months, you’ll find something useful here.

A few things I believe about home decor:

  • You don’t need a big budget to have a beautiful home. You need a clear vision and a good process.
  • Cozy is not a style. It’s a feeling — and it can be created in any style if you know what you’re doing.
  • The best-decorated rooms don’t look decorated. They look lived in, intentional, and personal.
  • Most decorating mistakes happen before you buy anything. The planning stage is everything.
